Rent the Couture – Rental Policies & Legal Notice

By placing an order with Rent the Couture Inc., you agree to the rental terms and policies outlined below.

Rental Period

All rentals are for the selected rental period at the time of booking. The item must be returned on or before the agreed return date. For shipped orders, the item must be dropped off with the designated courier using the prepaid return label by the required return date.

Late Returns

Late returns impact future bookings and may result in fees. A late fee of $25 per day may apply for each day the item is not returned after the agreed rental return date. If a late return causes us to cancel or refund a subsequent customer’s booking, additional charges may apply.

Condition of Rental Items

All rental items are professionally cleaned and inspected before each rental. As our pieces are part of a rental collection, minor signs of normal wear may be present, especially on popular styles. These do not affect the wearability or overall appearance of the item.

Customers are responsible for taking reasonable care of the item during the rental period.

Cleaning

Standard dry cleaning is included in the rental fee. Customers should not attempt to wash, dry clean, spot clean, alter, hem, or repair the item themselves.

Additional cleaning fees may apply if the item is returned with excessive staining, odour, makeup, self-tanner, food, drink, heavy soil, or other damage beyond normal wear.

Damage, Loss, or Theft

The customer is responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to the rental item during the rental period. If an item is returned damaged beyond repair, not returned, or lost in the customer’s possession, the customer may be charged up to the full replacement value of the item.

Alterations

No permanent alterations are permitted. This includes hemming, cutting, sewing, or making any modifications to the garment. Careful pinning may be permitted where appropriate, provided it does not damage the garment.

Cancellations, Refunds, and Store Credit

All rentals are final sale and non-refundable once booked. Store credit may be offered at the discretion of Rent the Couture Inc. and is valid for 12 months from the date issued, unless otherwise stated.

Shipping & Delivery

For shipped orders, Rent the Couture Inc. will ship the rental item to the address provided by the customer. Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

Rent the Couture Inc. is not responsible for delays caused by courier issues, incorrect addresses, refused deliveries, missed delivery attempts, weather disruptions, or other circumstances outside of our control.

If an order does not arrive by the rental start date, we will make reasonable efforts to offer a replacement where available. If a replacement is not possible, a rental refund or store credit may be provided at our discretion. Shipping fees are non-refundable once the order has been shipped.

We do not ship to hotels due to the risk of missed or lost packages. Customers must provide an alternative residential or business address for delivery.

Return Shipping

For shipped rentals, a prepaid return label will be included. The customer must use the provided return label and drop the package off with the designated courier by the agreed return date. Customers should retain proof of drop-off until the return has been received by Rent the Couture Inc.

Sizing and Fit

Customers are responsible for selecting the size and style that best suits them. Rent the Couture Inc. may provide general sizing guidance, but we cannot guarantee fit. Rental fees are not refunded due to fit issues.

Photos and Marketing

Customers may tag Rent the Couture Inc. in photos or share images with us. Any customer photos reposted by Rent the Couture Inc. will only be used with permission.

Agreement

By completing a booking, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to Rent the Couture Inc.’s rental policies.
